Happy New Year!

hope everyone's year started off just as GREAT as mine did... Chris came to visit, and we had a really good time... although, I did have a little drama when it came to my dress (it wouldn't zip, and i totally freaked out), and by the end of the night my feet hurt in the shoes i had worn... but despite my complaining and worrying that my dress was too revealing, i had a really good time at the Kennedy Center... the show was very entertaining, and the party afterward wasn't so bad either... it was crowded, but we were able to find a spot to swing dance some... and a fairly open area for our toast and kiss at midnight... the evening truly was memorable... *thank you, christopher... i hope this next year is even better than the last!*

okay, i'm through gushing now... and now i must say, somebody *ahem* owes me a bottle of shampoo... here's the story... so, i'm running my water for my shower this morning when i sleepily step into the tub and nearly met my death... while i have those no-slip things in my tub, that wasn't enough to stop the slimeyness that was under my feet... i woke up enough to notice that the tub was full of suds as well... i thought, "wow, chris must have used a lot of body wash and it didn't all get rinsed out of the tub yesterday..." and i went on about my shower... so, now i'm completely wet, and reach for the shampoo... it was very light... too light, since i remember having nearly half a bottle just the other day... then i realize the bottle was turned upside down... and the lid was still open... it wasn't body wash all over the bottom of my tub, it was the last of my shampoo... and i didn't have a spare bottle either... so, this morning i had to wash my hair with body wash and soap... for a guy, this might work, but let me tell you, for a girl, it makes for the nastiest hair you have seen... not pretty... i'll be surprised if my bosses don't send me home for violating the part of the dress code that says we must be clean and presentable... lol...

work is super super busy right now... I have 5 official task folders on my desk (all due the same day) and about 5 unofficial tasks that are also due around the same time... the good news is, i won't be bored at work for the next few weeks... the bad news is, after the deadlines, we don't have any projects lined up for nearly a month... oh well, that's just how it goes...

oh, and i miss chris... *sigh*
